We believe that people can work from anywhere.
If you are here it means that you are smarter than the average person and therefore do not need to be controlled to do things.
Generally speaking we try to go in the office at least 2/3 times per week, but this is not mandatory.
In order to your activities, your team's needs, where you are based, covid restrictions and other variables you would like to stay more time at home or in office
Tips&tricks:
For maintain a standing of young pirates but professionals and serious here some mundane but important guidelines to follow to work all the best.
If we have internal calls where we don't have to present or are just "listeners", it's okay to be walking around or at least in unconventional conditions, maybe from a mobile device. Let's say, we turn off the cam and microphone and don't create discomfort for others If, on the other hand, we have to present something and/or be active in the call, let's do our best to connect from the PC, in a context that is silent and that allows us to conduct the meeting in a linear way for everyone else (the rule of common sense applies, let's empathize with the others and don't create discomfort for them)
The above points apply, paying even more attention to the standing, we have a lot of substance to communicate but unfortunately or fortunately clothes make the man. So hooray for our distinctiveness but let's make sure that people can always say "How cool that they work from all over and are so professional" and not "Remote-working is broken, see how badly they are combined" Either way use Krisp, virtual backgrounds and anything else that can be useful, if you need the paid version let us know and if you find some other useful tools tell me.
Try to distinguish between what is urgent, what is important, and the relationship between the two. We have different communication tools, so we understand what to expect and how to deal with others on different channels
Slack: we keep 70 to 80 percent of internal communication here. Coz we are all full of calls and tasks let's expect and try to respond based on 'effort within the workday (meaning, YES/NO answers we can give them live, more complex things that take us more time let's try to reserve time buffers to unpack them). Our advice is to reserve one or more moments perhaps in the morning as soon as you start work, around lunch break, or at the end of the day to clear the inbox.
Mail: for important communications that require more work or are really important and so we don't want the other person to miss them in Slack threads we send an email. Obviously in emails we will give more and more importance to external communications, so let's try to respond and expect a response (net of special deadlines and deadlines) within 24/48 hours. Other important point the signatures in the emails --> We often see signatures without logo, with different format, without Job Title or with incorrect job title. Please take a look at them and line them up. If you don't know how to do it tell me.
Phone: if we have a life or death emergency, something we absolutely need to have answered immediately, let's pick up the phone and call!
